Usually if bacteria is sterilized with an alcohol type substance, some bacteria that survive can actually form a stronger resistance.

03 Window Coating
BRILA Marine Window Coating chemically bonds with the glass surface creating an extremely durable and high water repellence.
The water repellence of a water contact angle of 80° is maintained even after 420,000 cycles in the wiper anti-wear accelerated test, and it has about 6 times wear resistance against conventional water repellent coatings.

What is a Gelcoat Finish?
Gelcoat is a resin-based finishing material often used on newly manufactured yachts. Once applied onto a hull, this adhesive-like material dries into a hard, shell-like casing. A gelcoat is formulated to be UV protective and stable against harmful chemical reactions. Yacht hulls are often exposed to several chemical vapors, so this stability is an advantage.Gelcoat finish is known for its long-lasting durability. With proper care and a high-quality gelcoat, the glossy protected finish can for many years without major repair work.
Why protect my paint?
A boat goes through many stages in its life cycle; periods of constant maintenance mixed with periods of heavy usage and periods of little or no use at all. Through its life cycle, the gel coat and paint will always be exposed to the elements. Every time the gel coat or paint gets chalky, buffing and waxing are done to return its lustre and shine. The downfall is that in doing this, one is slowly breaking down the layers of gel coat or paint. Continuing down this road will eventually lead to the costly job of re-painting. Applying a gel coat is the solution to this.
